Brad Mehldau & Mark Guiliana Added To Lineup For Home Run Benefit II!
We are thrilled to announce that the pianist Brad Mehldau and the drummer Mark Guiliana, whose new duo project is known as MEHLIANA, have been added to the lineup for our second home run benefit concert! Brad is “universally admired as one of the most adventurous pianists to arrive on the jazz scene in years” (Los Angeles Times), and we look forward to experiencing his new electric collaboration with Mark on October 24th.In addition to MEHLIANA, the lineup for the evening also includes a reunion between Steve Coleman and Dafnis Prieto (also featuring Jonathan Finlayson, Kokayi, and Anthony Tidd), as well as the debut performance of the collectively-led trio of Miguel Zenón, Larry Grenadier, and Johnathan Blake. For just $35, you can hear three sets of great music, and all proceeds will go towards stabilizing The Gallery as we prepare to move to a new home.Watch a recent video of MEHLIANA live at The Stone, and get your tickets for the show today. The Jazz Gallery Home Run Benefit Concert IIWednesday, October 24th, 2012 | 8 p.m.Rockwood Music Hall, Stage 2196 Allen Street New York, NY 10002Featuring:10PM: Miguel Zenón / Larry Grenadier / Johnathan Blake9PM: Dafnis Prieto / Steve Coleman / Jonathan Finlayson / Koyaki / Anthony Tidd8PM: MEHLIANA (Brad Mehldau & Mark Guiliana)$35 | BUY TICKETS HERE
