The Jazz Gallery Presents: Arta Jēkabsone

This Saturday, April 9, The Jazz Gallery is pleased to welcome vocalist Arta Jēkabsone back to our stage with her working quintet. This past fall, Jēkabsone premiered her Jazz Gallery Residency Commission, Searching for a Song. Exploring notions of space, lyricism, nature, and light, Jēkabsone expanded her musical canvas with strings and woodwinds, which you can hear in “Meet Me in the Time of My Bloom and Rise,” below.

For this weekend’s performance at the Gallery, Jēkabsone will be joined by her closest collaborators, playing music new and old.

Vocalist Arta Jēkabsone plays The Jazz Gallery on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Ms. Jēkabsone will be joined by Theo Walentiny on piano, Lucas Kadish on guitar, Nick Dunston on bass, and Connor Parks on drums. Sets are at 7:30 and 9:30 P.M.
