The Jazz Gallery Presents: Chris Dingman
This Saturday, March 3, The Jazz Gallery is pleased to welcome vibraphonist Chris Dingman back to our stage with his working trio. Dingman has received much acclaim as both a leader and sideman, working closely with the likes of Steve Lehman, Jen Shyu, Harris Eisenstadt, and the group Bryan and the Aardvarks. Dingman's most recent record, The Subliminal and the Sublime, is a long-form suite filled with breathtaking vistas and evocative textures, receiving editors' picks from both Downbeat and JazzTimes magazines. Check out an excerpt of Dingman and his band performing the work at WNYC's Greene Space.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-MmsMQ5qQsDingman's current project features a stripped-down approach, placing his impeccable vibraphone work in stark relief with bass and drums.
