The Jazz Gallery Presents: Declan Sheehy-Moss Electric Band

This Saturday, November 6, The Jazz Gallery will welcome saxophonist, vocalist, and producer Declan Sheehy-Moss to the stage for the first time. A native Brooklynite, Sheehy-Moss has studied at New England Conservatory and SUNY Purchase, all the while producing tracks in his bedroom.

Like many of his peers, Sheehy-Moss slides easily between styles and media. On his latest single, “Corner Store,” Sheehy-Moss’s burly saxophone sound sits comfortably in a bed of Stevie Wonder-esque synth layers, while a pop directness is gradually unzipped by improvisatory flights of fancy and woozy vocal effects.

For his first performance at the Gallery, Sheehy-Moss will convene his Electric Band, featuring Vittorio Stropoli on keyboards, Theodore Rogers on guitar, Sam Reiss on electric bass, and Joshua Simpson on drums. Don’t miss this introduction to Sheehy-Moss’s burgenoing vision in a live setting.
