The Jazz Gallery Presents: Kris Davis/Ingrid Laubrock Duo

Pianist Kris Davis and saxophonist Ingrid Laubrock first met at the Cornelia Street Cafe almost 20 years ago, before Laubrock became a New York resident. Since that first meeting, the pair have become near-constant collaborators, playing in groups from the collaborative trio Paradoxical Frog to the Davis-led Capricorn Climber to the Laubrock-led Anti-House. In 2020, the pair released Blood Moon, an album of all-original duo material.

Davis and Laubrock were on tour supporting the album’s release in March 2020, right before North America experienced its first major shutdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of that, the pair haven’t been able to play together since that time!
