The Jazz Gallery Presents: Nir Felder

This Friday, guitarist Nir Felder returns to The Jazz Gallery with his home base trio. In 2020, Felder released his album II (Ropeadope), featuring a tight set of original compositions laden with rich, cinematic textures. These layers of overdubs don’t strangle the music, but heighten the essential interplay between Felder, bassist Matt Penman, and drummer Jimmy Macbride.

In between tours with the likes of Keyon Harrold and Jeff Coffin, Felder and his rotating trio-mates have been keeping their knives sharp at gigs throughout the city. For this week’s performance at the Gallery, Felder will be joined by standouts Ben Street on bass and Dan Weiss on drums.

The Nir Felder Trio plays The Jazz Gallery on Friday July 29, 2022. The group features Mr. Felder on guitar, Ben Street on bass, and Dan Weiss on drums. Sets are at 7:30 and 9:30 P.M.
