The Jazz Gallery Presents: Sasha Berliner

This week, The Jazz Gallery welcomes vibraphonist Sasha Berliner back to our stage for two sets. Berliner has been a regular presence at the Gallery as both a leader and collaborator since her time studying at The New School, and now splits her time between New York and Southern California, where she teaches at UC Irvine and Cal Arts.

This week’s performance features a new working quintet, where Berliner is flanked on the front line by trumpeter Dave Adewumi. The group will perform material from Berliner’s upcoming studio album Fantome, coming out next year, as well as additional brand new compositions.

The Sasha Berliner Quintet plays The Jazz Gallery on Thursday, June 27, 2024. The group features Ms. Berliner on vibraphone, David Adewumi on trumpet, Liya Grigoryan on piano, Kanoa Mendenhall on bass, and Tim Angulo on drums. Sets are at 7:30 and 9:30 P.M.
