The Jazz Gallery Presents: Tyler Bullock

Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, pianist Tyler Bullock moved to New York two years ago to study at the Juilliard School. But while keeping up with his studies, Bullock has become a regular presence at the likes of Smalls and Dizzy’s, playing in the bands of elder statesmen like Joe Farnsworth, Duane Eubanks, and Bruce Williams. At The Jazz Gallery, Bullock has performed as part of the Roy Hargrove Big Band, and this week, he makes his debut as a leader.

Bullock will be joined by his working trio-mates Jonathon Muir-Cotton on bass and Miguel Russell on drums, as well as by special guest saxophonist Stacy Dillard. Before coming out to hear Bullock at the Gallery, check out his fleet-footed take on Duke Ellington’s “Take the Coltrane.”
